Connecting the text in real life situation through use of ICT.

ICT in education improves engagement and knowledge retention:

 When ICT is integrated into lessons, students become more engaged in their work. This is because technology provides different opportunities to make it more fun and enjoyable in terms of teaching the same things in different ways.

Experts say that using technology in teaching and learning can increase children’s engagement in class, more than an old school textbook can as devices and apps are where today’s students live their lives.

Students have a range of different abilities. Digital applications provide brilliant opportunities for making learning more effective.

For example, technology allows students to learn at their own pace, either taking things slower or allowing them to go in to a topic in further depth. Like in my today’s lesson, it was easily taught how the birds like black necked cranes are danced, where is Phobjikha valley located.  Therefore, ICT can overcome barriers and deliver the same lesson in different ways.
